SUNDARAM EDUCATIONAL TRUST
Sundaram Educational Trust (SET) was founded in the year 1973, by two progressive women, namely, late Padma Santhanam and late Prema Srinivasan from the TVS Family for actualizing the teachings of late J(iddu) Krishnamurthy, the legendary spiritual teacher, by providing holistic education to School children. In pursuance of that, Sundaram Educational Trust had supported the establishment of a School under the auspices of Krishnamurthy Foundation of India under the name and style “The School KFI” which has matured into an institution of excellence.
Apart from its involvement with The School KFI, Sundaram Educational Trust has also been involved in providing financial support to various other educational initiatives, which included funding the infrastructure needs of schools at different locations and funding scholarships to needy and deserving students.
Teachers are an integral part of the education system, and great teachers help create great students. Professional development helps teachers acquire the skills to evolve into inspiring and informed teachers well versed in the nuances of school education, and thus well equipped to shape young minds.
Sundaram Educational Trust has also launched programmes for training of Principals, Trustees, School Management Members and Teachers, to promote excellence in School Education.
At present the Trustees of Sundaram Educational Trust are all members of the TS Santhanam Family of the TVS group.
